Caribbean Princess Cruise May 2010 - Princess Theater - Hypnotist Fernandez

The show was fantastic - Fernandez did a great job on combining fun and science together. Below, the example of his show on another ship. I will upload my video later . Although, the show is always different, since it is impossible to predict how someone will behave!

Princess Captain's Circle Lunch - Most Traveled Passenger Event

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Lunch with the Captain Event along with other 40 people. Our table was dining with Tim Ellis - First Purser Food & Beverage. Maybe one day I will get enough day sailing on Princess to get at the Captain's table as well. :)

Caribbean Princess Cruise Ship Info - Onboard Experience

Caribbean Princess entered service in 2004, the sister ship to the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess , once the biggest cruise ship at sea,  presented in 1998. Caribbean Princess is  113,00-tons heftier and carries  410 more passengers at a full capacity of 3100. However, , for example,  the ship like the Carnival Conquest class at 110,000 tons can carry up to 3400 passengers. This means that the space per passenger ratio on these ships, results in more spacious lounges, theaters and dining rooms that are all intimate enough to make passengers forget they are aboard a megaliner.

Caribbean Princess Cruise - Day 1 Patter - Welcome Aboard Caribbean Princess

Comedian Fredd Klett at Caribbean Princess cruise. Entertainment at Princess Theater

Welcome Aboard Showtime "One Night Only"
with Cruise Director Dan Styne and The Caribbean Princess Singers & Dancers The Hilarious Family
Comedy by Fredd Klett

I liked both performances - that's what is expected from the cruise entertainment: good laugh, good music, great fun. Caribbean Princess Cruise director has a great personality: energetic, charismatic, funny enough.

Caribbean Princess Day 1. Room P336

I was nervous about my room - traveling alone I booked a guaranteed inside room and had no idea of what to expect - I was assigned to P336, however, couldn't figure out what part of the ship it is located on.  I tried to upgrade my cabin, but without a success. However, when I finally got to the room I was pleasantly surprised seeing a nice, clean and quite a spacious place. Plus, I did find it quite nice being so close to Piazza, Internet Cafe and Art Gallery. What I remember about my previous sailing on Crown Princess - endless walking from and to cabin on Caribe floor. Certainly, whoever is complaining about cruising living conditions is simply spoiled! Now, a funny part -  imagine my surprise when next morning I found my cabin is actually an oceanside and I have a window! I was upgraded without telling me about that! What a nice surprise!

Caribbean Princess Day 1. Embarkation in Brooklyn Terminal

As always I arrived to the ship rather late - and as always promised myself to remember to get to the port earlier next time. Since embarkation was very well organized, it didn't take long to get on-board. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't accommodating, and sail away party wasn't as festive as I remember it. I was surprised seeing Caribbean Princess interior being so much alike to Crown Princess.

Caribbean Princess departure - It is scary cruising single !

Alaska Banner
After months of dreaming to go on the cruise I booked the Caribbean Princess cruise just a week before the departure date. It was supposed to be a first time traveling with a cruisemate found on Cruisemate's website, however, the old lady sent me email with short "Sorry I can't attend the trip notice" and I was left with the inside stateroom and single surcharge. After trying to find someone to share expenses I decided to  go by myself! Not that I have any other choice...

Well, those who have been cruising, they know that traveling solo on the cruise isn't easy. When 90% of the passengers are traveling as couples or at least as family members, it might be quite difficult  and intimidating to walk to the dinner or some event alone. Especially for the people like me, shy and slightly introverted. So I am really anxious and nervous about my upcoming trip.
