Here is another Caribbean Princess cam - live from Wedding Chapel via satellite. Like the bridge cam, the image is refreshed automatically every 5 minutes. Sure, you hardly will see anything at night, but during the day time you can see beautiful weddings. Another entertainment source - some passengers (particularly, some romantic couples) don't know that Wedding Chapel on Caribbean Princess has a web cam.

It is amazing what a technology is capable of these days! At any time of the day or night you can see the view of Caribbean Princess cruise ship  live through the web cam via satellite. Caribbean Princess cam shows still images that refresh every 5 minutes.  Some cruise ships webcams would show only  the front of the ship. Caribbean Princess' cam is located more convenient and allows to see the whole ship!  You could go to Deck 17th and wave to your friends!

That is something that I added to my agenda for the future cruising... Dancing by the pool on a sail-away party! This group of cruisers had fun through all the cruise: always laughing, joking, dancing... That's a positive side of traveling in a big company vs cruising solo.

Caribbean Princess Ship - Mysterious at Night

Deep at night Caribbean Princess looks so different, there is some magic about the cruise ship late after a midnight. I love that time - everything is cleaned up, shiny and empty. The music on decks is playing, the water is splashing, and nothing else isaround... Randomly one of workers will pass by or another passenger, like me, gets outside to enjoy a cruise night. It is hard to believe that in several hours it will be crowded and loud on Caribbean Princess again.

Line Dancing Lesson on Caribbean Princess

I love dancing and one of great things about cruising - there is a possibility to learn new dancing moves. There is a dancing class almost every day, and at night there is a good possibility to try those new moves on the dancing floor in Club Fusion or in  Explorer Bar. Unfortunately, I got too late, but at least had a chance to make this short video. Obviously, the teacher was very good - guys and girls are moving smooth and synchronized. Well, maybe next time I will catch up...

If you ever cruised with Princess, then you know that the Captain's Circle is Princess Cruises' past passenger incentive program. Typically there is one event during the cruise voyage exclusive for members of the Captain Circle. My last cruise I was lucky enough to be invited to Captain's Lunch, served for the most traveled Princess passengers. Since now I achieved my Gold status, I received the invitation for Captain's reception. Caribbean Princess' Captain Marco Fortezze gave the excellent speech and announces the most traveled members of Captain's Circle. Nice free drinks and cocktails were served, and anyone could take an official picture with the Captain. Sure, I used the opportunity as well! Captain's Circle event is the only one  membership privilege of Gold Membership that is really worthy. 

I learned that I need only one more Princess cruise to reach my Platinum Membership with free dry cleaning, Platinum Members Lounge and complimentary Internet package!

Vine Bar at Caribbean Princess.

Welcome to The Vine Bar, Caribbean Princess' premiere European style wine bar. I really enjoyed my time  here: not only they serve amazing selection of all kinds of wine, but you also get a special appetizer accompanying your wine: a choice of sushi, ceviche,selection of  artisan cheese  and fruits, or truly delicious Italian meatballs. During the voyage, sommelier will host various themed wine tastings. I could attend only one - the "Old World Wines", and left very pleased with the presentation. Both sommeliers are very knowledgeable and friendly, helping you to find a right wine for your taste, and recommending some new selections.

San Juan Tropical Island Party - Caribbean Princess June 9

Tonight we were supposed to have Tropical Island Sailaway Party leaving San Juan. According to old traditions that is White Dress Party on the Pool Deck. However, it got raining last minute and the party  was moved from the Neptune Pool Deck to the Club Fusion. Partying inside isn’t quite the same – the club hardly could hold all the people however Cruise's Director Stuff have done everything possible to keep the fun and party atmosphere.
Party Band Exotique with singers Lauretta and DC Washington was great as always.

Port of Call - Grand Turk - Caribbean Princess Cruise June 8

The best part about stopping at Grand Turk is the beach proximity - you don't need to go anywhere, just leave the ship - 20 feet and you can swim, snorkel, lay on the sand or enjoy early party at Margaritaville. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time on Grand Turks - in the morning the weather wasn't accomodating and a couple of Caribbean Princess tours were cancelled due to the rain.


Only around 11 am it finally became sunny again on Grand Turk,  Caribbean Princess left the island at 1.30 pm.

Hypnosis Comedy with Hypnotist Fernandez - Caribbean Princess Cruise June 2010

I have seen other hypnosis shows of Fernandez, but this one was the funniest one. Hypnosis comedy always depends on participating people, and this time we got some characters. It was the latest show out of three, yet Princess Theater was full, and a public was very supportive.

Piano Vocalist Eric Stone performs in the Crooners Lounge onboard Caribbean Princess

Eric Stone's radiant voice, a smile and a charisma will charm you if you will spend some time in the evening at the Crooner's Lounge listening to Piano Vocalist singing. His talent and music knowledge without a doubt will impress you! Andrew Lloyd Webber concert was simply amazing. Eric Stone performance is truly embellishment of every evening at Caribbean Princess. The club was open by Maitre d'Hotel Giorgio Pisano, followed by the lectures of Caribbean Princess Sommelier Adam Charkowski and Headwaiter Amaro. Educational and entertaining, the lecture was interesting for both inexperienced and experienced wine enthusiasts

Who wants some Free Ice Cream?

For those folks, who have cravings for an ice cream during between meals, there is cute ice-cream cafe serving free soft oce cream. If you are watching your waist they have fat-free version as well. Plus, several options of topping.

However, what I found especially charming - in the morning they prepare delicious belgium waffels! Too bad I couldn't eat them, just enjoying the smell..

I have seen Fernandez' Hypnosis show on my previous cruise trip on Caribbean Princess, but the best about hypnosis comedy - it is different every time, because the people are always acting unpredictably!

Here is  the funniest part of the show - just watch those girls and guys!!!  I could hardly to hold the camcorder, laughing till tears!!!

Champagne Waterfall is a tradition  of Princess Cruises on the first formal night. Today  Captain Marco Fortezze and Maitre’D 'Hotel Giorgio Pisano hosted a cascading Caribbean Champagne Waterfall at the Piazza.  Later  guests could take the picture pouring some champagne as well.

Every night at the Explorer Lounge there is a party with Exotique Band. Dancing is always fun, plus what could be a better way to work out all that endless delicious food?!

Cafe Caribe at Caribbean Princess - Best Place for Breakfast

My favorite place on Caribbean Princess for having a breakfast is definitely Cafe Caribe. Located in the aft of the cruise ship, Cafe Caribe has outside tables, where you can enjoy your meal or just a cup of coffee overlooking an endless horizon and waves of the ocean. Sometimes it might be rather windy, yet it couldn't overshadow my enjoyment.

Pool chill out on Caribbean Princess cruise June 6 2010

After morning on St. Thomas the passengers are chilling out by the pool. The weather is beautiful : sun shining, a nice breeze... Nice music, a cold beer... What else do you need to be happy? I love watching people by the pool area. Some are truly enjoy themselves, some are spending hours hardly moving around, like they are on the mission to get as dark as possible. As I mentioned before Caribbean Princess upgraded me to the obstructed oceanview cabin. I found my room E301 being really spacious, even the obstructed view wouldn't spoil a great first impression. My cruisemate and me couldn't use all storage space in the room!

Preserve some happiness - Farewell on Caribbean Princess

I like those farewell moments when we almost left yet still having New York landscape visible. The people are different - some are   tired and passive like they still can't believe they are on the cruise . Some folk isA   kind of anxious and overexcited, looks they are determined to get the maximum from their vacation for the money they paid. First day is always the most exciting one.

 Some photos from going around Caribbean Princess before embarkation. The people are taking their vacation seriously. They determined to have fun on the cruise, and they are right! Fun = Cruise, this formula is absolutely correct. Caribbean Princess is just one of many cruise ships, it might be having more or less feature than other ones, yet I do believe it is up to the person how much fun they are going to have on the cruise!

June 2010 Caribbean Princess Embarkation Day

Another trip that was booked less than a week away from the departure! I was placed on the waiting list on the Princess website and received a phone call from the agency a day later offering the room and the same price of $699 per person for a guaranteed inside room. If I booked a eek ago the rate would be better, yet right now I am just happy to get back onboard the Caribbean Princess.

When you are traveling single on the cruise it is more tempting to have that glass of wine at the bar - it feels like it is easier to socialize with a glass in the hand ( works the same for happy hours on the land, doesn't it?).  I noticed first day that some folks didn't know about tipping policy onboard - they would be trying to include bartender's tips in the bill, that already has 15% of gratuity added by default. Well, I found prices in Caribbean Princess cruise quite reasonable, especially comparing to Philadelphia downtown's bars.

What is nice, Caribbean Princess has "After 8 pm" specials, where for $2.99 you can get Pina Colada, Singapore Sling or Long Island Iced Tea - sweet, isn't?! Almost free! And talking about sweet: one of the best cocktails I tried on Caribbean Princess was Strawberry Shortcake - be careful, it is really addicting!

The same "After 8 pm" promotion includes home spirits for the same $2.99 - about 60% savings. Unfortunately, there was no special deals for wine.

Caribbean Princess Cruise Ship Info - Onboard Experience

Caribbean Princess entered service in 2004, the sister ship to the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess , once the biggest cruise ship at sea,  presented in 1998. Caribbean Princess is  113,00-tons heftier and carries  410 more passengers at a full capacity of 3100. However, , for example,  the ship like the Carnival Conquest class at 110,000 tons can carry up to 3400 passengers. This means that the space per passenger ratio on these ships, results in more spacious lounges, theaters and dining rooms that are all intimate enough to make passengers forget they are aboard a megaliner.
